When I was a child, I read books about saints and imagined that I could/might myself be a saint. The world of "god" was familiar and comforting to me.

This is a process piece wherein I read social media, am drawn to a quote and thus free-hand embroider it to a square of cotton, then post to social media. I am in the process of learning to hand quilt and will construct a quilt with squares.

this piece is embroidered with string onto card.

this is a mirror cover that is constructed of white dress shirts, white hankies, white cloth dinner napkins- and embroidered with ivory thread to tell stories through stitch...webs, chain stitch, fence-like stitches, and the word "mine" appliqued within the piece.

these pieces, constructed through cyanotype, wrapped thread, and oak leaves that are embroidered or printed speaks of hanging on, of resisting change, of wanting the same to be true always.

This is a series of mandalas embroidered on upcycled wool fabric. I feel that it depicts the inner workings of my brain and am looking forward to it's completion as a gear-driven machine.

this series of embroidery mandalas is meditative brain work for me. Each on has its own interior theme which I would find difficult to parse out for you, but each in its detail is obsessive and complete.
